Welcome to Whitehouse Guestrooms

Whitehouse Guestrooms offers a well-situated retreat in the heart of Southville, Bristol. With a solid 4.3 rating, this guesthouse strikes a balance between comfort and convenience for travelers seeking an accessible base close to the city center. Positioned just a 15-minute walk from Bristol's bustling core, guests can easily explore the creative hub of the Tobacco Factory, as well as the vibrant bars and cafes lining North Street.

The accommodations here are clean and thoughtfully maintained, benefitting from recent refurbishments that give the rooms a fresh, neat appearance. Spacious bedrooms paired with ample bathrooms provide practical comfort, enhanced by user-friendly features like easily accessible power sockets and well-regulated showers. Although the furnishings lean toward the budget end, they meet essential needs well, offering a cozy place to rest after a day of exploring.

One notable aspect of Whitehouse Guestrooms is the lively atmosphere inherent in many-room properties. Guests should anticipate typical noises from corridor traffic and door thuds, which may slightly affect the tranquility. However, this is balanced by the visible friendliness and politeness of the welcoming staff, who contribute a warm human touch to the experience.

The communal areas, while functional, could benefit from added warmth and hospitality—introducing sofas or soft furnishings in the front hall might enhance the inviting feel. Breakfast is a highlight, featuring fresh fruit and quality offerings that set a positive tone for the day.

Overall, Whitehouse Guestrooms serves as an excellent option for visitors drawn to Southville’s cultural scene and Bristol’s energetic urban life. It blends practicality with a hint of local charm, making it a dependable choice for those who appreciate clean, comfortable lodgings in a dynamic, creative neighborhood.

Spotlessly clean room, and a decent shower. Recently refurbed, I think, and looking good. It's a neat location in Southville, with a good vibe, and a 15 minute walk to the centre of the city. The furnishings are "budget" and there are a lot of rooms here. Hence, you will have to accept a lot of noise from doors opening and closing, and people up and down on the stairs and landing outside. All in all, it suited us perfectly and Chris (proprietor) is lovely.

This guesthouse is very well-situated, near the center of Bristol, 5 mn walk , located in a quiet neighborhood. The rooms are clean and comfortable. But the front hall is not very cosy. Only tables and chairs. Maybe you could make this room more warm and welcoming by adding sofas, sofa chairs and some decorations. The staff is very friendly. It was our first stay at this guesthouse and if we were to return to Bristol, we would stay here again.

This b&b, for the price, had a lovely sized bathroom and ample sized bedroom. It was nice to have the mirror to get ready. There was easy access to plug sockets. The shower was easy to use and adjust to a good temperature. The bed was comfy, but I found the pillow too high. The lady that greeted us was very polite and friendly, asking if we knew the area. Breakfast was very good, with fresh fruit, cereals, bread, crumpets and croissants + more. A great price for a welcoming b&b.
